About Me

I'm a fourth-year grad student in the doctoral physics program at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Someday you might call me Dr. Wysocki, but not quite yet (unless you're looking for a favor, in which case you should start immediately). I'm currently working on the PHENIX Experiment at Brookhaven National Lab, where we smash Gold nuclei together at 0.999999975 times the speed of light in search of the Quark-Gluon Plasma! Talk about fun...

How I Got Here...

Once upon a time (an ever-increasing number of years ago), I was born in the sprawling metropolis of Ypsilanti, Michigan, home of Eastern Michigan University, Tucker Automobiles, and the Sidetrack Bar and Grill. A proud product of Lincoln Consolidated Schools, I set out from home for the University of Notre Dame. After residing in Keenan Hall for 3 years, playing in the Marching Band, and livin' it up in general I graduated in May 2003 with a degree in Physics and Computing. I'll try not to wax nostalgic, but it's hard not to.

Upon pondering my post-graduation options, I decided I wasn't quite done with school yet, and hey, as long as I'm going to grad school, why not go someplace cool like Colorado? (The outstanding physics program had nothing to do with it. Really.) So yippie-ki-yay!
